Traffic is now restricted in the Albaicín. An excellent, frequent, air-conditioned minibus service has been introduced which makes it very easy to travel within the Albaicín and to the Alhambra. If you come to Granada in your car, leave it in the Generalife car park, then use the bus to get around. If you are staying in the new part of Granada just stroll up to Plaza Nueva or Gran Vía and you will be able to reach any part of the the Albaicín or Alhambra very easily.

The bus company has been changing the routes a lot recently so we don't want to put the times in case they go out of date but it will continue to be true that you will never have to wait more then 15 minutes for a bus. Not all buses go to the Sacromonte but on Thursday and Sunday the bus goes to the Sacromonte every 10 minutes from 11.30pm until 1.30am; Friday and Saturday 11.30pm until 3.30 am. So if you want to go a restaurant in the Albaicín there is always an excellent, cheap bus service at your disposal. The most frequent bus does a continuous loop of the Albaicín. Phone 900 710 900 for exact information about any part of the bus service in Granada. (they speak English).

There is also a good bus service throughout Granada but we have concentrated on the Albaicín and Alhambra because it is the most interesting place for visitors.
