FLAMENCO COURSE (Level I or II) THEORETICAL PART: - Short introductory talk about the origin of Flamenco culture . - The different "palos" (rhythms); how the musicians, the dancer and the singer develop the harmony and the magic between them. TECHNICAL PART: - Clapping technique "palmas" - Foot exercise and step combination with Flamenco rhythm. - Arms and hand technique and exercise and coordination with the feet. We practice both the above techniques introducing it into a choreography dependent on ones level. As we advance, we will be accompanied by a guitarist. Women should bring comfortable shoes with heels or Flamenco shoes and a long, flowing skirt. Men should wear boots with low heels or Flamenco boots. |

LATIN AMERICAN DANCE WORKSHOP PLUS AFRICAN RHYTHM
THEORETICAL PART: - Short introductory talk about the culture and the origin of the music that we are going to dance. TECHNICAL PART: - Warm-up and loosening exercises, working on specific parts of the body: shoulders, arms, hips, coordinating the movements with a short choreography of African dance. - We'll learn pure Latin American Dance : salsa, merengue, mambo without stylisation, not ballroom dance. Our aim is to encourage our own individual sensuality, spontaneity and joy. |
