Barbara and Toru are your hosts
They live next to the house.
Barbara and Toru Nagasawa arrived in Sacromonte around the same time
in the early 70's. He came from Japan to learn flamenco guitar, she
from Germany to paint and collect antiques. Very soon their lives
were intertwined, as it were. After a couple of years of bohemian
living in Spain they returned to the "real world" in Germany where
they mounted a successful business restoring (Toru) and painting (Barbara)
the local rustic Bavarian antique furniture. They never forgot Sacromonte,
however, and were able to return here a few years ago to make their
permanent home. These days their lifestyle revolves around Toru's
building projects, Barbara´s art and their guests. Between the two
they speak English, Spanish, Japanese and German ("Bavarian" according
to Barbara!)
