Granada airport info:

There is a frequent airport bus service and the buses tie in with the arrivals. The bus costs 3 euros and there are several stops in the centre of Granada. The most central stop is the stop on the Gran Vía next to the Cathedral. If you are going to Plaza Nueva, it's a good idea to get off at this stop.

If you don't want to walk through the streets with your luggage you can get a taxi which costs approx 30 euros. There is supposedly a fixed taxi fare for taxis from the airport to the city centre (26-28€ for the centre of Granada, and 30-32€ for the Albaicín) so it's a good idea to ask how much it will cost before getting in the taxi. The taxi driver should not use the taximeter. This page has more advice about getting taxis from the airport.
Internal flights within Spain:
Cheap airlines such as vueling have driven the prices down so there are now many bargain flights to other Spanish cities such as Barcelona and Madrid. A good site to search for them is SKYSCANNER.
(Tip: When there is a flight from outside Spain with a connecting flight from Madrid/Barcelona to Granada they invariably don't coordinate the luggage properly and it has to be delivered to you the next day. So put some extra underwear and essentials in your hand luggage.)
